The Wingers Team meeting was on Thursday, I wanted to give a quick run down on what was decided.
The best takeaway from the meeting, and most important, was that we definitely have enough players to make a team. In fact, more than enough. It doesn’t look like we’ll be chasing guys at the last second to try to fill in, and that’s great. That being said, we only have 15 spots available. It was decided that the first 15 guys to pay their deposits are on the roster. More on that in a bit.
It was also decided that this season, Mike Hewson will be the money man. All dues, umpire costs, and shared team expenses may be passed to Mike, Michael Kellner, or I, but it’s all going to Mike who will keep a ledger and handle all of it. And Mike is a lot less forgiving than I am, keep that in mind.
There will be another league manager’s meeting on January 13th. At that time, each team will need to have a $1500 deposit ready to be paid to Skip. So, each Winger who wants a spot on the team needs to have paid a $100 deposit by January 12th. That bears repeating – the first 15 guys to pay their deposit of $100 to Kellner, Hewson or I by January 12th are on the roster. We’ll have another team meeting in late January or early February.
